Freedom Isn't Doing Less, It's Doing Less Of What Isn't Yours

I used to think freedom meant doing less. Now I think it means doing less of what isn't mine, and choosing more of what actually brings me joy.

I built a business chasing every version of success I thought I was supposed to want. It took losing myself in it to realise most of that list was never mine to begin with.

What Freedom Actually Felt Like

Rest stopped being something I had to earn. I started noticing the wall before I hit it, not after it flattened me.

My yes started meaning something again, because my no finally did too. I chose slow on purpose, not because I'd run out of energy and had no other option.

None of that happened by accident. It happened because I stopped measuring my life by how much I could carry, and started measuring it by whether it still felt like mine.

The Question Worth Asking

If you're building something right now, a business, a career, a version of your life, it's worth pausing to ask who it's actually for.

Is it for you? Or is it for the version of you that's still trying to prove something to people who stopped keeping score a long time ago?

Whatever you're building right now, it's allowed to look different to what you think it "should be." There's no prize for building a life that looks impressive but doesn't feel like yours to live.

If This Is Where You're At, You don't need to blow it all up to find your way back. Most of the time it's smaller shifts than that, a boundary here, a slower yes there, permission to rest before you're depleted instead of after.

If any of this hit home, I would love to support you through it. I coach from lived experience, not just theory. Coaching services here
