Supporting VBAC & Caesarean Birth
I am excited to bring this course to help doulas and birth supporters grow in confidence & skills for supporting parents. This will be an interactive course based on adult learning styles, with lots of group discussion and trouble shooting.
This workshop aims to expand your knowledge and skills while also enabling you to feel confident in supporting your clients with comfort measures for labour and birth.
I have supported many VBAC families as a doula and antenatal educator. I have mentored many doulas though the process of supporting families and debriefing their experiences. I also had an unmedicated VBAC myself, so can share the patient experience first hand.
This course will:
Build your confidence in your ability to support families planning a VBAC or a VBA2C.
Offer information and evidence-based resources
Understand the risks and benefits of VBAC and also the risks and benefits for Caesarean Birth
Offer information and facts that you can share with your clients to build their confidence and knowledge
Offer tools to support your clients through pregnancy and labour
Inform you of the psychological journey a VBAC family can take.
Offer information on how to support a client with birth trauma
Offer information and tools to help you help clients make evidence-based decisions around the care they are being offered.
